Club Residencies Project #3 BCB WELCOMES THE BAXTER INN

The Bloomsbury Club Bar (BCB) is thrilled to announce we will be welcoming the critically acclaimed ‘The Baxter Inn’ from down under as the third instalment of our Club Residencies Project.

The Sydney based bar, named the Best Bar in Australasia for the third time in a row in the 2016 World's 50 Best Bars Awards, will kick-off a four residency on Wednesday 24th- 27th May with a bespoke cocktail menu created by the award winning Beverage Director, James Irvine. Alongside the tailored menu they will also be bringing their world famous Old Fashioned on Tap; making the BCB the first venue in Europe to offer the popular drink on draught.

BCB’s ‘Club Residencies Project’, launched in November last year - with a residency from Athens’ The Clumsies which was shortly followed by the first ever residency from New York City’s BlackTail – from the team behind The Dead Rabbit (World’s Best Bar). BCB’s Bar Manager Brian Calleja says: “I am delighted to be continuing to host the world’s best bars as part our Club Residencies Project and look forward to joining forces with the incredibly talented team from The Baxter Inn”.

Renowned for its 630-bottle strong whiskey selection, The Baxter Inn is recognised as one of the world’s best bars featuring a wall of whiskies of the world, specialising in Scottish single malts. The Baxter Inn, or ‘Baxter’ as it’s known to the regulars, has featured in World’s 50 Best Bars every year since opening and has also been recognised at Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards as Best International Bar Team and Best International Spirits Selection. Along with their bespoke cocktails, The Baxter Inn will also be bringing one of their most exclusive whiskies to serve to BCB guests.

The Dead Rabbit Irish Coffee at The Bloomsbury Club Bar

With UK Coffee Week fast approaching, The Bloomsbury Club Bar (BCB) is delighted to be serving the signature Irish Coffee from the World’s Best Bar, The Dead Rabbit, for one week only from 10th– 16th April 2017.

The Irish coffee priced at £10 will be exclusively available at The Bloomsbury Club Bar as a part of UK Coffee Week, a nationwide fundraising initiative to celebrate the vibrancy of coffee culture while raising valuable funds for the communities which grow our coffee. The BCB will be donating £2 from each coffee directly to Project Waterfall, an initiative established to bring clean water and sanitation to coffee growing communities around the world.

St Patrick's Day Seisiún in The Bloomsbury Club Bar

Following the launch of the Dingle Distillery Single Malt Whiskey this week (the whiskey is now exclusive to The Bloomsbury Club for the next year!), we are delighted to be hosting a St Patrick’s Day Seisiún on 17th – 18th March.

Over the two nights we will have live music, a bespoke cocktail menu made from Dingle Distillery Gin and Dingle Original Vodka, Irish beer from The Porterhouse Brewing Company as well as an Irish inspired Club Bites menu.

Furthermore, on Friday we will have a pair of Irish River Dancers performing during the live music intervals, in the inside bar (flash mob style).

World Book Day in The Bloomsbury Club Bar

We've teamed up with Skoob Books and Great Ormond Street Hospital for the our next chapter of events. Here's how it works: Brian has created a great cocktail list, consisting of favourite drinks from some of the worlds very best authors. You bring along your paperback: fiction, history or academic book (one per person) on Thursday 2nd March and we will exchange for one of our classic World Book Day cocktails. The books we collect will be taken to Skoob books, in Bloomsbury who have agreed to buy books (in good condition). Cash we earn from this will then be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital. We strongly suggest you book-in to The Bloomsbury Club Bar on 2nd March.

Seedlip ‘DRY JANUARY’ takeover of The Bloomsbury Club Bar

The Bloomsbury Club welcomes Seedlip for a 'Dry January' take-over. Proving that fun can still be had following the indulgent Christmas break, visitors will enjoy a tempting and exclusive ‘Dry January’ cocktail menu, paired with a selection of bespoke club bites. The Bloomsbury Club Residencies Project #2

The Bloomsbury Club Bar (BCB) is delighted to announce the February return of the ‘Club Residencies Project’, which will see the BCB hosting BlackTail NYC, from the team behind The Dead Rabbit. Initiated by Bar Manager Brian Calleja, these collaborations will continue to reinforce its position as one of London’s top new drinking destinations.

BlackTail NYC is the Cuban themed sister bar of The Dead Rabbit, which has been named "The World's Best Bar 2016". The BlackTail team will be led by Bar Manager Jesse Vida and his right-hand man Harrison Ginsberg. The bar will dressed with BlackTail influence, elements of the food menu will be replicated and the cocktails will be plentiful.

The residency will take place from 9th - 11th February, from 4pm - midnight each day. Reservations are strongly advised.

Live Jazz Nights @ The Bloomsbury Club Bar

From 8pm until late, The Bloomsbury Club Bar welcomes local jazz residents; John Cervantes and Michael Roberts as they each invite friends to entertain you with catchy jazz music – from classic ballads, to upbeat improvisation.
